In The Voyage of the Dawntreader, C.S. Lewis depicts Eustace as a dragon to show his greed for treasure. Once Eustace discovers his own sin, Aslan comes to rip off his dragon skin and change him back into a boy. Aslan brings this transformation, and changes Eustace to a boy of kindness and deeper compassion.

Sophia Hiser lives with her parents and five siblings, and loves to read, bake, draw, and sew. Her favorite book series that she’s read this year has been The Wingfeather Saga, by Andrew Peterson. Her favorite animals are all kinds of dogs.
